May 6 (Bloomberg) -- Christina Romer, former chairman of President Barack Obama's Council of Economic Advisers and a Bloomberg contributing editor, discusses the April U.S. jobs report released today. The U.S. economy added 244,000 workers last month, more than forecast, after a revised 221,000 gain the prior month, the Labor Department said. The unemployment rate climbed to 9 percent.
